Naomi Cottrell

Principal, PLA, LEED AP

After more than 15 years working at prestigious firms in the Boston area, Naomi joined Crowley Cottrell in 2012. Her project work, from her time at Reed Hilderbrand, LeBlanc Jones and Crowley Cottrell, has been recognized locally and nationally through numerous publications and awards, including three Honor Awards from the ASLA.

 

She is a charismatic people person who is sought after by academic and professional colleagues as a speaker and critic. Whether she is working with individual homeowners, institutional committees or entire neighborhoods, Naomi enjoys leading her clients through the design process to realize the potential of their landscapes.

Naomi is an experienced educator as well as designer. While a graduate student at Harvard, she researched the role of design education in low income communities and received the Harvard Design School’s teaching fellowship. After graduate school she built on her research while teaching design course for special needs students at the Construction and Design Academy at Madison Park High School in Roxbury. Today, she continues to enjoy projects that engage youth and community.
